Ok, so the nation really wouldn't have had a story if the Seahawks won the Super Bowl.

No Bettis homecoming story.
No "one for the thumb" fifth title story.
No "6th seed" wins it all story.
No youngest QB in Super Bowl history story.
No road-warrior team won every away game in the playoffs story.
No Cowher longest tenure of all active coaches story.

It didn't help that the Seahawks had a case of the pass-dropsies. It must've gotten into their heads after call upon tacky call kept going against them. Despite the lopsided officiating, they really had a chance to pull it off. Statistically, the 'Hawks had the Stealers beat in most categories. Except the scoreboard.
