Dinner at Palisade

Recently, my youngest one finally managed to wiggle his loose tooth out (one of several baby teeth left in his mouth). His mom promised him dinner at his choice of fancy restaurants, so he picks Palisade, located at the foot of the magnolia bluff in Seattle (is it "Palisade", or is it more proper to call it "The Palisade"?). Anyways, i make reservations for the 4 of us at 5:15pm today. At (the) Palisade, any seating before 5:45 qualifies as "first seating", which entitles the diner to a short set of "price fixed" meals, including soup or salad, entree, dessert, and coffee in the fixed price. The wife always has prime rib (no surprise), the older boy chooses a sirloin tip dinner from the kid's menu, mr tooth fairy has fettuccine, of all things (jeez, we could've stayed home and had spaghetti-o's instead), and I had an overly salty halibut dish. The view was nice (got to see the sunset), there were plenty of sailboats in the marina to ogle at, and our table faced downtown Seattle (oooh). IMO, it was a very heavy meal. Maybe the burnt cream dessert did us in. All in all, about 101 dollars lighter. oy!

Yeah, and that's not counting the 2 bucks I had to supply the tooth fairy with earlier. :)
